As the owner of BeAware Traffic Plans Ellissa’s vision is to provide a high-quality valued service at reasonable rates. After being a long time stay at home mother to her three children Ellissa gained her Construction Induction (white card), “Blue” and “Yellow” traffic control tickets in 2011 and began work as a traffic controller on the Central Coast of NSW. Within one day Ellissa moved into the role of team leader of a semi-permanent crew working on civil sites for underground electrical cable installation. Over the following 5 years Ellissa gained knowledge and skills working on many varied sites for clients such as Ausgrid, TfNSW, TfNSW contractors – Seymour Whyte and CMC. Works included electrical cable replacements, water main replacements, asphalting and major road duplications (Central Coast Hwy Upgrade-Erina Heights, Central Coast Hwy, Brisbane Water Dr and Manns Rd Upgrade-West Gosford and Wyong Rd Upgrade-Tumbi Umbi).
2016 saw Ellissa move into the role of Traffic Control Planner where experience was gained through training from colleagues. Ellissa’s knowledge base grew through determination and a desire for understanding of the requirements for NSW temporary traffic management. This knowledge came from asking questions, reading manuals and supervisors/managers Ellissa has had the pleasure of working with.
In 2018 - 2020 Ellissa’s role changed from Senior Traffic Planning Coordinator to managing a planning team of up to 3 people.
2020-2021 – Operations Manager for a Traffic Management Company saw Ellissa become more involved in resourcing, scheduling, vehicle, and people management.
Additional experience attained over the 11 years includes stakeholder and contractor engagement, providing quotations (resources, planning and permits), computer skills amongst many other varied knowledge and skills.
Ellissa takes great pride in providing all traffic management planning services which are compliant with AS1742.3, AustRoads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management 2021 and TfNSW – Traffic Control at Worksites Manual V6.1
